Cikarang: The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Rini M Soemarno, guaranteed that
the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway project will be completed on time.
Earlier today, she directly witnessed the installation of the first girder of the high-profile transportation infrastructure project.
Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, Xiao Qian, Director General of LandProvision of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial System, Arie Yuriwinalso and other government officials also attended the event.
“I always support for this project to proceed well and to operate according to the previous target,” Rini said here on Monday, September 30, 2019.
After the project is completed, people will be able to travel from Jakarta to Bandung in less than an hour. The project will include four stations namely Halim Station, Karawang Station, Walini Station, and Tegalluar Station.
PT KCIC, the operator of the project, said that 60 percent of the railway will be elevated. It added that the project is expected to be operational by 2021. (Translator: Muhammad Gestinev)
