Jakarta: Jakarta's odd-even license plate traffic policy expansion will be imposed on app based taxis because the technical regulation on odd-even free signs has not been created by local police.
"It will still be imposed on them because the technical regulation has not been determined by local police,” Jakarta Transportation Agency head Syafrin Liputo said here on Sunday.
According to the official, the technical regulation can only be issued by police. As a result, the Jakarta provincial administration will coorrdinate with the law enforcemenent agency.
“It still being discussed. It will be issued in the near future,” said Syafrin.
In the meantime, Jakarta Legislative Council deputy speaker Syarif said the policy should not hinder LPG companies. In order to smoothen LPG distribution in Jakarta, He hopes that LPG delivery vehicles can receive yellow license plate.
“We have talked with stakeholders, including pertamina. They understand the issue and is ready to take necessary measures,” said Syarif. (Translator: Muhammad Gestinev)
