Ogan Ilir: The Ogan Ilir Regency Government in South Sumatra Province plans to start face-to-face learning (PTM) in the near future.
According to Ogan Ilir Regent Panca Wijaya Akbar, junior and senior high schools will begin PTM on August 31.
Meanwhile, kindergartens and elementary schools will start the program on September 6.
"I reviewed several schools yesterday and I believe that Ogan Ilir is
ready," said the Ogan Ilir Regent here on Friday.
"The implementation of strict health protocols will still continue during PTM because the covid-19 pandemic is not over," he said.
Panca said that kindergarteners to middle school students has been waiting to go
back to school.
"Classes are only to hold 50 percent of the total students," he stated.
Meanwhile, the head of Ogan Ilir Education Office, Dicky Syailendra, explained that PTM activities will be continuously evaluated. (Translator: Natasha Celia)
