Jakarta: National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) Head Doni Monardo on Sunday visited Malang, East Java to inspect quake-affected areas in the region.
During the visit, the Head of the BNPB was accompanied by the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa and the Regent of Malang Sanusi.
"Houses that were slightly damaged or moderately damaged can be repaired by the BNPB after obtaining recommendations from local governments," said Doni in a press release issued on Monday.

The quake was felt in cities and towns across East Java, namely Blitar, Kediri, Trenggalek, Jombang, Nganjuk, Banjarnegara, Ponorogo, Madiun, Ngawi, and Mojokerto and even in several areas outside East Java province including in the Central Java town of Klaten, Yogyakarta province, and in the provinces of West Nusa Tenggara and Bali to the east of East Java province.
