He wanted to convey directly the sympathies of 16 countries participating in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) session in Bangkok, Thailand. "God willing, we meet again to convey sympathy and prayers from colleagues from 16 countries," he said.
Enggar is optimistic that Wiranto can go home soon. He appreciates all the medical devices that are in Wiranto's disposal at the Army Central Hospital.
"We see the progress is good and the equipment at the ICU (intensive care unit) is great," he concluded.
Wiranto who had just gotten out of the car to shake hands with the residents was attacked by suspected terrorists Syahril Alamsyah alias Abu Rara and Fitri Andriana using a knife. The attack occurred after Wiranto attended the inauguration of a joint lecture hall at the University of Matlaul Anwar in Kampung Cikaliung, Sindanghayu Village, Saketi District, Banten, Thursday, October 10, 2019.
Abu Rara attacked Wiranto, who had just gotten out of the official car. The blind attack made Wiranto jumped. The former ABRI Commander suffered two stab wounds to his lower abdomen.
He was then rushed to the Berkah Pandeglang Hospital to receive initial treatment. He was then transferred by helicopter to the Army Central Hospital in Jakarta.
