Jakarta: The Covid-19 Emergency Hospital at the Kemayoran Athletes Village in Central Jakarta today announced that as many as 2,152 patients are currently receiving inpatient care.
"The number of inpatients increased by 223 from 1,929," the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) I spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian said here on Friday.
According to the spokesman, towers 6 and 7 at the Kemayoran Athletes Villages are used to accomodate inpatients, while towers 4 and 7 at the complex are used to accomodate asymptomatic covid-19 patients.
On Thursday, the National Covid-19 Task Force confirmed 3,635 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 232,628.
"11 regencies and municipalities have more than 1,000 active cases," National Covid-19 Task Force spokesperson Wiku Adisasmito said during a virtual press conference here on Thursday.
"They are Semarang Municipality, Medan Municipality, Bekasi Municipality, Makassar Municipality, North Jakarta Municipality, Central Jakarta Municipality, West Jakarta Municipality, Bekasi Regency, East Jakarta Municipality, Surabaya Municipality and Pekanbaru Municipality," National Covid-19 Task Force spokesperson stated.
