Jakarta: PT Bank CIMB Niaga has confirmed that one of his employees has tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19).
According to CIMB Niaga's Head of Marketing, Brand, and Communication Toni Darusman, the employee is a back office staff at Griya Niaga 1 Bintaro in Greater Jakarta region.The employee does not directly interact with bank customers.
The employee was taken to hospital on March 2, 2020. The employee was diagnosed with the disease on Sunday, March 15, 2020.
"The employee currently is in stable condition," Toni said in a written statement issued on Monday, March 16, 2020.
"We have taken several anticipative measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, including disinfecting CIMB Niaga's offices and improving hygiene and sanitation," Toni stated.
As of Sunday, March 15, 2020, the country has announced as many as 117 confirmed Covid-19 cases and at least five deaths.
