Jakarta: A 5.0 magnitude earthquake hit Jembrana, Bali this morning. The Meteorology,
Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BKMG) said that the earthquake did not trigger tsunami.
According to BMKG's report, the earthquake occured at 06:51 AM Central Indonesia Time (WITA). With a depth of 10 kilometers, the center of the eatrthquake was located 181 kilometers southwest of Jembrana.
A smaller eartquake hit the region at 06:08 AM WITA. The center of the earthquake was located 59 kilometers southwest of Jembrana.
The quakes were felt in some areas in Bali, including Kuta, Jembrana, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua,
and Denpasar. They were also felt in Banyuwangi regency in East Java province. (Translator: Rifqi Akbar)
