Jakarta: The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force on Thursday confirmed 4,850 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 320,564.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Wednesday noon to Thursday noon, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients across Indonesia increased by 3,769 to 244,060.
Meanwhile, in the same period, the official covid-19 death toll in the country rose by 108 to 11,580.
In addition, today, the number of covid-19 patients at the Athletes Village Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta decreased by 128 to 3,161.
According to the Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) Spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, as many as 1,456 people are being treated at towers 6 and 7, while the remaining 1,537 people are undergoing self-isolation at towers 4 and 5.
Operated by the central government, towers 6 and 7 are used to accommodate covid-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms, while towers 4 and 5 are used to house asymptomatic covid-19 patients.
