Tangerang Penitentiary Fire Death Toll Increases to 46

Jakarta: The number of deaths after a fire in Class 1 Tangerang Penitentiary, Tangerang City, Banten Province has increased to 46.
 
On Sunday evening, another inmate succumbed to his injuries when receiving treament at Tangerang Regency Regional Public Hospital.
 
"The inmate has been identifed with initials T. He was 50 years old," said the hospital spokersperson, Hilwani, here on Monday.
"He suffered 40% burns and severe breathing problems. He passed away at 21.45 local time," the hospital official added.
 
As of Monday, Tangerang Regency Regional Public Hospital are still treating 5 inmates: N (34), Y (33), M (44), I (27), dan S (35). 
 
Meanwhile, police are still investigating the fire incident in the penitentiary. According to police, the disaster could be caused by negligence. However, they haven't named any suspects yet.
