Jakarta: The Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi) has temporarily closed down 159 companies since the beginning of the current Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period.
"58 companies were temporarily closed down for violating health protocols," Disnakertransgi Head Hari Nugroho said here on Monday.
"25 companies are located in Central Jakarta, 14 companies are located in South Jakarta, eight companies are located in East Jakarta, seven companies are located in West Jakarta and four companies are located in North Jakarta," he explained.
According to him, the remaining 101 companies were temporarily closed down by local authorities after officials found covid-19 cases at the companies.
As of today, Disnakertransgi and other related government agencies have inspected as many as 856 companies across the Jakarta Special Capital Region.
On Sunday, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 3,992 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 303,498.
