medcom.id, Jakarta: Chairman of Indonesian Businessmen Association (Apindo) Haryadi Sukamdani asked President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to be more creative from the previous government in deciding the state revenue, as within the State Budget Draft for 2016, the state revenue is targeted to be as much as Rp1,848.1 trillion with revenues from the tax sector at Rp1,565.8 trillion.
"Many local companies are finally shut down. The current state of mind cannot be similar with SBY's administration at the end of 2014, as there should be creative efforts in chasing new income," said Haryadi in a discussion with the topic of 2016 State Budget Draft Notes, at Warung Daun Cikini, Jakarta, Saturday (8/15/2015).
The fiscal policy should be heavier for budgeter function. Haryadi said it is different than what the United States had done.
"As is the U.S. crisis in 2008, the stimulant was still present. U.S. has greater debts than us. Don't creat counter productivity," he deliberated.
Moreover, Haryadi said his party was not too worried on the economic growth target at 5.5 percent in the 2016 State Budget Draft. The business community had questioned the high state revenue, as in the tax revenue.
"If looking at the economic growth of 5.5 percent, we're moderate, it's reachable. But for the revenues, for example the tax, it's a big question mark," he said.
