medcom.id, Jakarta: Gerindra Party Deputy Chairman Sufmi Dascco Ahmad confirmed the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Jakarta City Council member Muhammad Sanusi on Thursday, March 31.
"We received information he is being examined now by KPK," said Dasco to Metrotvnews.com, Thursday (4/1/2016).
Dasco said his party did not approve corruption. Sanusi will be dismissed if he is proven guilty. "And we will not give any legal support," he added.
A man identified as Sanusi was seen in KPK headquarters. KPK Chief Agus Rahardjo confirmed his agency arrested one Jakarta City Council member last night.
Secretary for Jakarta City Cuncil M. Yuliadi previously revealed KPK investigators sealed Sanusi' office as well as Jakarta City Council Deputy Speaker Mohammad Taufik's office.
At Jakarta City Council, Sanusi holds position as Gerindra Faction chief.
