medcom.id, Jakarta: House of Representatives Ethics Tribunal (MKD) was urged to issue verdict on former House Speaker Setya Novanto's case. The demand even came from inside MKD.

One MKD member, Darizal Basir, asked Novanto's ethics trial to be continued in next parliament session.

"We asked the trial to be continued but some members thought the case has ended after Novanto's resignation letter," the Democrat lawmaker said to Metrotvnews.com, Wednesday (12/30/2015).

According to Darizal, every trial must have verdict. Although Novanto has stepped down as House Speaker, the official verdict is still needed.

"So actually the process is not yet over. MKD trial must give verdict. Now, It looks as if Novanto has been cleared," he said.

Therefore, Darizal thought it is appropriate to continue the ethics trial.

"There was decision namely medium violation with punishment resignation from leadership position. It was based on consideration from MKD but it is not yet issued," concluded Darizal.
