medcom.id, Jakarta: Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi has suspended Muara Angke Port harbormaster Deddy Junaidi.
Zahro Express ferry caught fire on its way to Tidung Island in Thousand Islands regency from Muara Angke Port in North Jakarta yesterday.
At least 23 people were killed. Around 17 people are still missing.
"We have suspended the harbormaster," Budi said here on Monday (1/2).
The boat reportedly carried around 200 passengers. However, the manifest only recorded around 100 passengers.
"We will question the harbormaster about the issue," Budi stated.
