medcom.id, Cirebon: Officials from Mount Ciremai National Park (TNGC) found three corpse flowers inside the national park area. TNGC spokesperson Agus Yudantara, said the flowers are classified as Amorphophallus Decussilvae or West-Java Giant Amorphophallus.
The three flowers were found at different time as they are located in different spots.
"On April 20, we found one flower in Sangiang Majalengka and on April 21, we found the other two at Lingga Resort Darma site and Cisurian Kuningan, waterfall," said Agus, Tuesday (4/26/2016).
The officials would try to preserve the flowers by building a fences to avoid damages. TNGC also plans to install camera.
Despite the tight security measures, visitors will still be allowed to see the flowers. "If you want to see the flowers and the blooming process, it is okay. But you have to maintain distance and don't destroy them," ensured Agus.
