medcom.id, Jakarta: Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affair Wiranto is optimistic the December 2 rally will go on peacefully.
"The public should not be worried. They should not be affraid," Wiranto said on Wednesday (11/30).
"The rally will go on peacefully," he ensured.
Several Muslim organizations will hold a rally at the National Monument. They will perform Friday prayer at the location.
"Street vendors will get a lot of money," he stated.
Muslim conservatives staged a mass protest on November 4. They demanded the police to charge Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama. The rally is the follow up of the protest.
