medcom.id, Jakarta: As many as 6,000 law enforcement officers will secure a pro-Rohingya rally in front of the Myanmar Embassy in Menteng, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.
"We have prepared as many as 6,000 law enforcement officers," the Jakarta Metro Police chief Inspector General Idham Azis said.
"We have deployed both police and military officers," he added.
The law enforcement officers have carefully placed barbed wires around the embassy building. They have also placed three water cannons near the embassy building.
The pro-Rohingya rally will be attended thousands of Muslim activists. It will be supported by the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), the 212 Alumni Presidium, the Islamic Ummah Forum (FUI) and other Islamic mass organizations.
