medcom.id, Jakarta: Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Arcandra Tahar stated that he still holds Indonesian citizenship amid allegations that he currently has United States (US) citizenship.
"I am Padangnese, my wife is Padangnese.I was born and and raised in Padang. however, I studied my masters and doctoral degrees in the US. I went to the US in 1996," Arcandra said at his office, Jakarta, Sunday (8/14/2016).
"I still holds Indonesian passport. My Indonesian passport is still valid," he continued.
Arcandra added he has stopped processes in the US. However, he didn't explain in detail about the processes.
"The processes in regards to your questions have been returned," he told reporters.
"I am still Indonesian citizen. Please, check my passport," he concluded.
