Indonesia-Ukraine Establish Agriculture Cooperation

medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko conducted a bilateral meeting this afternoon.
 
"We discussed about trade and investment cooperation," said Jokowi after the meeting at the Freedom Palace, Jakarta, Friday (8/5/2016)
 
The two leaders also witnessed the signings of four cooperation agreements, including memorandum of understanding (MoU) on agriculture cooperation.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi explained Ukraine is the largest wheat producer in the world. Ukraine exports wheat to Indonesia. In the other hand, Indonesia exports crude palm oil to the country.
 
"There are opportunities to develop agriculture cooperation," she stated.
 
The other three MoUs are MoU on free visa fo diplomatic and official passport holders, MoU  on diplomatic training and MoU on defence industry cooperation.
 
"Ukraine offered to lend Antonov planes for forest fire," she revealed.
