medcom.id, Jakarta: Officials have ended rescue operation after a bridge connecting two small islands in Bali province collapsed on Sunday (10/16) evening.
National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said there were no reports of missing persons.
"Officials will still be there for rehabilitation and reconstruction," said Sutopo in a written statement on Monday (10/17).
The incident killed eight people and injured 34 others. The injured victims have returned home.
A bridge connecting Nusa Lembongan island and Nusa Ceningan island collapsed during Nyepi Segara holiday.
