medcom.id, Jakarta: Jakarta branch of Gerindra party is optimistic in bringing Ridwan Kamil for Jakarta gubernatorial election. The Bandung Mayor is considered as one of the strong candidates for the election.
Gerindra's Jakarta branch chief Mohamad Taufik mentioned that his party will hold selection process for the election on January 27.
"Hopefully on January 27 he will come. Yesterday, he was reported conducting Umrah," mentioned Taufik in Jakarta, Monday (1/18/2016).
The selection team head, Syarif mentioned Ridwan Kamil will return from umrah on January 21. He is scheduled to attend the selection process.
"Then, on January 27, he will come to Sari Pan Pacific Hotel (the location of the selection process)," mentioned Syarif.
Aside from Ridwan Kamil, Gerindra Party also considered seven more figures for Jakarta gubernatorial election including businessman Sandiaga Uno, lawmaker Biem Benyamin and former Deputy Minister of Defense Sjafrie Syamsuddin.
