medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo appointed People's Conscience Party (Hanura) chairman Wiranto as the new Coordinating Minister of Politics, Law and Security Affairs.
Jokowi has repeatedly stated his ministers cannot hold other positions. Hanura secretary general Berliana Kartakusuma signaled the party will seek a new chairman.
"We will make a decision immediately," Berliana said at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/27/2016).
Two Hanura politicians, Yuddy Chrisnandi and Saleh Husin, lost their positions in the cabinet. Berliana ensured his party still fully supports the government.
"We prioritize the wellbeing of the nation," he stated.
