He revealed President Joko Widodo took him to Megawati's house. They then went together to the Functional Group (Golkar) Party's national leadership meeting that night.
"I was summoned by President Joko Widodo. We had a discussion. After the discussion, he asked my schedule. I said I want to go to Golkar but before that I want to go to Bu Mega's house. He offered to take me there," Ahok told reporters at the City Hall, Jakarta, Friday (7/29/2016).
"Three of us then went together to Golkar," he added.

Ahok informed Megawati about his decision to run on party ticket in 2017 gubernatorial election. According to him, Megawati responded positively the decision.
"She said PDIP has political mechanism that should be followed," he stated.
PDIP is the largest political party in the capital. Current Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, is PDIP member.
