medcom.id, Jakarta: Golkar Party has officially switched sides to support the government. The party is also expected to 'donate' one or two of its members for ministerial positions.
Director of Moestopo's Public Studies Institute (LKPM) Didik Triana Hadi believes that there will be cabinet reshuffle within the near future. "The possibility of reshuffle is only counting days, as the reshuffle awaits for the Golkar Extraordinary Congress. Aside from that, the reshuffle will also applied to minimize squabbles, and accelerates the government's performances," said Didik in a phone discussion with Metrotvnews.com, Sunday (5/22/2016).
The ruling coalition's increasing power will result in the support on the policies produced. It will surely double the government's confidence. "There will be far less obstacles in the future," he explained.
The communication between Golkar Party and the government has been conducted for long. "There is no free lunch. Golkar's support is not given freely. There will be seats (for Golkar Party in the cabinet)," he elaborated.
Golkar's seat, he continued, will most probably be from the former professional's seat. President Jokowi will take caution of exchanging seats from the government supporters' party. "It is most likely taken from professionals. It could be Rizal Ramli's seat, or other professionals," he mentioned.
