medcom.id, Jakarta: The North Jakarta District Court held the third hearing of the blasphemy trial of Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama at the former Central Jakarta Distict Court building in Gajah Mada area on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.
The judges rejected his exception plea. They ruled that the blasphemy trial can proceed.
"We cannot accept the exception plea," chief judge Dwiarso Budi Santiarso said.
"The trial will resume at the Agriculture Ministry building on January 3," Dwiarso stated.
Previously, the Supreme Court has agreed to move the trial from the former Central Jakarta District Court building in Gajah Mada area to the Agriculture Ministry building in Ragunan area.
"It can accommodate more people. It can also provide better security," Supreme Court spokesman Ridwan Mansyur told Metrotvnews last week.
