medcom.id, Depok: Vice Prime Minister of China, Liu Yandong, reminisced the World War II period, which strengthen the diplomatic relation with Indonesia.
Liu reminded again that Indonesia and China's diplomatic relationship had reached its 65th year. It is aligned with the 60 years of Asian African Conference, 70 years of Indonesian Independence and 70 years of victory in World War II.
"Reminiscing the history, despite the changes in international situation, peace and development are the course of time that cannot be blocked," mentioned Vice PM Liu, at the University of Indonesia, Depok, Wednesday (5/27/2015).
As aligned with the development of multipolar world and economic globalization, the diversity of culture and humanities are still supported. The relationship between Indonesia and China now is considered as the best era in history. Both nation's bilateral relation is also gaining more importance as it influence spread regionally and internationally.
"We will not forget, 70 years ago, the people of both countries sympathize and support each other, as they rose to victory in the anti-colonial and anti-fascist war of the world (WW II) in a process to establish independence and freedom of the nations," Liu affirmed.
"65 years ago, Indonesia was one of the first nations to establish diplomatic relations with China," she explained.
Vice PM Liu also sees the importance of the Bandung Spirit. She thinks that the Bandung Treaty has become the spirit to live peacefully together.
"The Bandung Spirit has become a valuable treasure to establish new international order that are fair and rational," Vice PM Liu stated. (Eps)
