medcom.id, BSD City: GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2015 was officially opened. The opening ceremony was attended by Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
JK said that the automotive industry may become a benchmark or barometer of a nation, especially on economy.
"Cars are the source of progress. They have been the needs of various nations as they are the source of progress. Abroad, car sales have become the indicator of economic developments," explained JK on Thursday, August 20, in BSD City, South Tangerang, earlier this morning.
Sudirman MR, the Chairman of GAIKINDO, explained that the feat is an important moment. GIIAS 2015 is being held when the automotive market is slumping.
"The event is the 23rd exhibition, and routinely conducted annually since 1986. GIIAS 2015 is extremely important as it is being held when the domestic automotive is in a slowdown," explained Sudirman MR.
GIIAS 2015 is to be held for 11 days, August 20-30, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang.
