medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo on Monday summoned Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya Bakar to address the current forest fire problem.
"It is escalating rapidly," Siti said.
The Nasdem Party politician will plan a national-level coordination meeting. She will cooperate with the Cabinet Secretary's Office.
The Bogor Agricultural Universtity alumnus will approach a number of regional leaders. She will visit several forest fire locations.
"I will check hotspots. I will monitor Air Pollution Index records," Siti said.
