medcom.id, Jakarta: Vice President Jusuf Kalla opened the Indonesian Diaspora Global Summit at the JW Luwansa Hotel and Convention Center in Kuningan, South Jakarta on Monday, August 21, 2017.
"Diaspora are good. They are smart," the former Golkar Party chairman said.
"Diaspora can assist the government. They can improve the education sector," the Buginese politician said.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan attended the opening ceremoy. Minister of Foreign Affair Retno Marsudi also joined the event.
The congress is organized by the Indonesian Diaspora Network. The forum is also supported by the Foreign Ministry.
