medcom.id, Jakarta: The joint search and rescue (SAR) of the ill-fated aircraft Trigana Air ATR 42-300, with flight number IL-267 is officially closed this morning, Friday (8/21/2015). The closure was conducted through a ceremony in Sentani, Jayapura.
Metro TV Reporter Dade Salampessy reported live from the location, that the closure was conducted at 07.16 local time (WIT), led by the Head of National Search and Rescue Agency, Basarnas, Air Marshall F. Henry Bambang Soelistyo. Present in the ceremony were the joint forces of the military, police, Basarnas and other SAR potential taking role in it.
In that chance, Bambang said he was satisfied with the operation, as from the beginning of the operation, Sunday, August 16 to yesterday, everything went well. All 54 victims have been evacuated and the black box is found.
The Papua Police DVI Team had also received all bodies, but only four were identified. The National Committee of Transportation had also received the black box given directly by the Head of Basarnas.
