medcom.id, Jakarta: Hong Kong police named two suspects on the murder of an Indonesian citizen (WNI), a Pakistani and Indian nationality.
Wiji Astutik Supardi, was found dead on June 8, 2015. She was found wrapped in a mattress on a sidewalk of Changsha Street, Mong Kok. Hong Kong police then stated the suspects. Wiji's murder on June 10, 2015.
"Two suspects on Wiji's murder are Wahaj Fyaz as the prime suspect (a Pakistani who is also the victim's boyfriend) and Shahbaz Khan (an Indian nationality) for assisting Wahaj in escaping to China," Director of Indonesian Citizens Protection and Law Assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lalu Muhammad Iqbal, in a written press release received by Metrotvnews.com, Wednesday (6/17/2015).
"On June 15, 2015, Indonesian General Consulate will transfer the deceased body from Kwai Chung Public Mortuary to Hung Hom Universal Parlour Funeral Home," he continued.
Meanwhile the body's transfer back to Indonesia is to be conducted as soon as possible, despite unclear schedule.
Previously, the police mentioned that the Pakistani man had been arrested in February 2015, due to alleged suspicious wounds on the victim's body.
But in the end, the man was released unconditionally and was not charged since Wiji did not continue with the case.
In addition, the Acting Chief of Kowloon Police, Lo Chung-Wong explained that based on preliminary examination, Wiji has passed away for days. Meanwhile, her purse and other valuable possessions like rings and bracelets are still attached to her body. (Eps)
