medcom.id, Depok: Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has signaled that President Joko Widodo will appoint definitive Energy and Mineral Resources soon.
Jokowi discharged Arcandra Tahar from the position last month. Arcandra reportedly received American citizen in 2012. Indonesia doesn't recognize dual citizenship.
However, Jokowi didn't announce Arcandra's replacement immediately. He instead instructed Luhut to fill the role temporarily.
"I will be in this role just for one more week," Luhut said here on Wednesday (9/2/2016).
Luhut explained he wants to focus on his job as coordinating minister. According to him, having two jobs is very tiring.
"It depends on President. It is his domain. However, I feel President has had the right person," he stated.
