medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo was urged to respond cabinet reshuffle that has been spread in public. Golkar Faction Secretary Bambang Soesatyo mentioned that if cabinet reshuffle is really needed by government, Jokowi must give certainty.
"If the cabinet reshuffle issue is not controlled, it will jeopardize stability. The ministers will not be comfortable," mentioned Bambang in a written statement on Monday (12/28/2015).
He thought that Jokowi is currently being tested on his consistency. Nevertheless, Jokowi recently promised that the government will work harder and faster as 2016 will be more challenging than this year.
"President also asked the ministers to improve effectiveness of 2016 Government Budget," he added.
To reach that goal, Bambang assessed the condition in the Working Cabinet should be conducive. He believed harmony is hard to achieve when the ministers are continually haunted by a cabinet reshuffle. "The ministers also need certainty. Only the President that could provide that," he continued.
Therefore, he hoped Jokowi will be able to clear cabinet reshuffle issue in the beginning of 2016. Moreover, to realize the 2016 Government Budget, every ministry or institution needs time for consolidation, including coordination with local government.
"If cabinet reshuffle happens, the consolidation process of the new ministerial figures surely will not be easy," he mentioned.
Aside from that, the confirmation provided by Jokowi will prevent polemic. Therefore, it would be much better if Jokowi can provide confirm cabinet reshuffle.
"On the contrary, if the president does not provide any response soon, what will occur is chaos. The people does not want anymore ruckus," he concluded.
The issue on the second reshuffle on Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla's working cabinet emerged after report that National Mandate Party (PAN) as a new member of government coalition will be given two minister posts.
The two names mentioned to be new ministers from PAN are Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Taufik Kurniawan and the member of the PAN faction at the House, Asman Abnur.
