medcom.id, Jakarta: The Sociologist of the University of Indonesia, Imam B Prasodjo, was fed up. He is sick of what is going to happen in the Honor Council of the Board (MKD) of the House of Representatives (DPR), on Monday, December 7.
The honorary board had just held the ethic code hearing on the case of the misuse of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla's names by the Speaker of the House, Setya Novanto. The hearing, related to the working contract extension of PT Freeport Indonesia was closed for public.
Novanto's hearing went differently with the two previous hearings, presenting Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said and President Director of PT FI Maroef Sjamsoeddin.
Through a poem titled "Maafkan Aku Meludah ke Arah Wajahmu yang Mulia" (Am Sorry for Spitting in Your Face, Your Honor) Imam sees that what MKD has shown is simply a moral depravity. The nickname of 'Your Honor' for the members of the parliament given the rights to put on the judge-like robe had put a scar on his heart.
Hundreds of millions of Indonesians have witnessed the fake faces of the 17 members of MKD. Borrowing the term mentioned lately, it is as if MKD had caught a cold in resolving Novanto's case.
The people's throats, including Imam's, were pictured to be so dried up due to the silly feat. Imam couldn't help as he spits on the 17 proud people, who had been nicknamed as 'Your Honors' through a poem.
