medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) congratulated Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) for its 43th anniversary. He hoped PDIP continues to fight for its ideology.
"At the age of 43, PDIP is a party with ideology, powerful party, dominant party in the country. I think it is because PDIP is guarded with Mrs. Mega's determination to uphold political ethics. Of course the party is also supported by its though members," said Jokowi in his speech during PDIP's National Work Meeting in Jakarta, Sunday (1/20/2015).
PDIP Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri gave speech before Jokowi. In her remark, Mega proposed Indonesia must have comprehensive long-term development plan.
"We have heard Mrs. Mega and i agree with her about long-term and middle-term development plan. It must consist of our long term dreams. We must think about it seriously what we will do in 5, 10, 25 and 50 years from now," he continued.
Jokowi said the plan is needed so development will be more organized.
"It will be our homework for 25-50 years so our direction will be more clear," he concluded.
