medcom.id, Jakarta: Director General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources IGN Wiratmaja Puja guarantees that Premium fuel price will not increase until Eid al-Fitr.

"Until Eid, we still guarantee (it would not go up)," Wirat said at the House of Representatives Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (6/15/2015).

Despite a hike on world oil price, Wirat is still convinced that the Premium will stay at Rp7,400 per liter. "I think it stays. On Eid, one or two days after Eid," he explained.

Wirat added that despite the current increasing world oil price trend, it is not too high, as it does not fall sharp if it declines. Wirat is assured the Premium will not experience any hike.

"It is so in the beginning of July. Hopefully. If it's normal like the current price, who knows after Eid it would fall," he said.

He explained that all countries with strong economy have fluctuation fuel prices, such as Australia, Singapore, Japan, the United States and Britain.

"All countries with strong economy have fluctuative fuel prices. Look at Australia, Singapore, Japan, the United States and Britain, those who have strong economy, it fluctuates (fuel price)," he concluded.

As informed, the macro assumption of the 2016 State Budget Plan has agreed that the Premium is not subsidized, as Diesel will remain with the old subsidy at Rp1,000 per liter. (Eps)
