medcom.id, Jakarta: The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) destroyed 445 kilograms of methamphetamine and 422 kilograms of marijuana at the National Monument on Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
The agency also incinerated 190,840 ecstacy pills and 323 thousand erimin pills.
"We seized the evidence from 29 suspects," BNN head Commissioner General Budi Waseso said.
President Joko Widodo also attended the event. He reiterated his tough stance against drugs.
"We must declare big war against drugs," he stated.
BNN unveiled 96 cases and arrested 196 suspects from January to December 2016.
