medcom.id, Jakarta: The government, through the Minister of Manpower M. Hanif Dhakiri, advised businessmen and business communities to provide the holiday allowance bonus (THR) two weeks prior to Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"It should be two weeks before D day. The sooner the better, we have advised all industry owners and business communities," he stated when met at the Grand Sahid Hotel, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (5/27/2015).

Hanif explained that the instruction had been published years ago as the Manpower Minister Regulation. Within the regulation, the detailed calculation of the allowance was also deliberated.

"So, I hope no one fails in paying the holiday allowance to their employees. THR payment is to be accelerated with the amount according to regulation," he said.

As informed, the regulation on Religious Holiday Allowance (THR) is arranged in the Minister of Manpower Regulation No. PER-04/MEN/1994 Year 1994 on the Religious Holiday Allowance for Employees in a Company ("Permenaker 4/1994").

According to Article 2 paragraph (1) of Permenaker 4/1994, business owners should provide THR to workers with more than three months of employment consequently. (Eps)
