medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo met with PDIP chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri at the Presidential Palace on Monday (11/21) afternoon.
Jokowi and Megawati discussed the upcoming regional elections. They urged calm ahead of the regional elections.
"101 regencies, cities and provinces will hold regional elections," said Jokowi during the meeting.
"winning or losing is normal," he continued.
Jokowi underlined he will continue to meet political party leaders. He stated the policy will help maintain political tension in the country.
Previously, Jokowi met with Golkar chairman Setya Novanto and Gerindra chairman Prabowo Subianto.
