medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo visited the Nahdlatul Ulama Central Executive Board (PBNU) headquarters in Jakarta on Monday (11/7) afternoon.
Jokowi was accompanied by State Secretary Minister Pratikno. He was welcomed by PBNU Religious Council secretary Asrorun Niam Sholeh.
Jokowi conducted the visit after several Islamic organizations staged a mass protest against Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama last week.
Nahdlatul Ulama as the largest Islamic organization in the country did not join the demonstration.
Jokowi visited the Indonesian Military headquarters earlier today. He praised the military that protected the capital during the demonstration.
