medcom.id, Jakarta: The Agency for Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) will complete the initial study for the Jakarta-Surabaya railway revitalization project soon.
BPPT will finish the initial study by next week. The agency will submit the initial study to Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
"The conclusion could be taken from the initial study" BPPT head Unggul Priyanto said in Jakarta on Thursday.
BPPT will analyze two options namely upgrading existing infrastructures or constructing new infrastructures. The agency will consider several issues, including costs, technology requirements and development plans.
"Constructing new infrastructures could be more expensive," he said.
