Police Chief Expects Tolikara Riot Suspects to be Announced Today

medcom.id, Jakarta: The National Police is processing the riot incident which occurred in Karubaga, Tolikara Regency, Papua, on Friday, July 17. At least there have been 31 witnesses examined in this case.
 
"But we will still examine five more today. So, the possibility is that today the suspect(s) will be determined. Hopefully it is named today," said the National Police Chief Badrodin Haiti in the Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Wednesday (7/22/2015).
 
The witnesses, added Badrodin, is from the police, citizens, congregation and the religious service's committee.

Riot broke out when the Muslims were conducting Eid morning prayer. Previously, a circular letter was distributed on the restriction of religious activity in the location. The activity was still conducted as the restriction was considered to be concluded.
 
A group of people finally came to the location, clash erupted, as a number of kiosks and a religious worship place caught fire. (EPS)
