Jakarta Metro Police Tightens Security at City Hall

medcom.id, Jakarta: Authorities have tightened security at the City Hall ahead of a mass protest by Muslim hardliners in the capital.
 
The National Police deployed around 200 officers. Meanwhile, the National Armed Forces  deployed more than 100 marines.
 
The police also deployed a water cannon water cannon vehicle and a baracuda vehicle in front of the City Hall. 

"We have conducted coordination," said acting Jakarta Governor Sony Sumarsono on Friday (11/4).
 
A number of Islamic organizations will hold protest against Jakarta governor candidate Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) after Friday prayer this afternoon.
