medcom.id, Jakarta: The addition of Golkar party to the ruling coalition does not mean President Joko Widodo will allocate ministerial positions for the party, said Palace Spokesperson Johan Budi.
"Cabinet reshuffle is president's authority. It is stipulated in the constitution. It has no connection with Golkar's support for President Jokowi," he said through short message, Jakarta, Monday (5/23/2016).
Johan claimed he does not receive any information regarding cabinet reshuffle plan. "Only the president knows," he said.
Golkar officially announced its support to the government in January. The support was reiterated during Golkar Extraordinary Congress this month.
Golkar Chairman, Setya Novanto, even mentioned that his party is ready to support President Joko Widodo during 2019 Presidential Election. "As long as the public support Jokowi, I as the Golkar Chairman will support and defend Jokowi," said Novanto.
