Number of Unemployed in Indonesia Reaches 7.56 Million People

medcom.id, Jakarta: Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the number of unemployed in Indonesia on August 2015 was at 7.56 million, or rising by 0.32 million people from the previous 7.24 million in August 2014.
 
From the half-time employees, there was a decline as many as 1.46 million people to 34.31 million in August 2015. While on August 2014, these employees were as many as 35.77 million people.
 
"The half-time employees mentioned here are those working less than 35 hours," said the Deputy of Statistics Balance and Analysis Kecuk Suharyanto, in his elaboration at the BPS Head Office, Central Jakarta, Thursday (11/5/2015).

Then, for the number of half unemployed people, there was an increase of 0.06 million people to as many as 9.74 million people in August 2015. While in August 2014, the half unemployed people was as many as 9.68 million people.
 
Moreover, Kecuk added that for part time employer, there was a clone of 1.52 million people to as many as 24.57 million people. Meanwhile in August 2014, the number of part time employees were at 26.09 million people.
 
"In August 2015, from 122.4 million workforce, at least 114.8 million people, among them absorbed by the working market," he concluded.
