medcom.id, Jakarta: Three figures considered as strong candidates to be new Golkar Party chairman. They are House of Rerpresentatives (DPR) Speaker Ade Komarudin, Golkar Faction chief Setya Novanto and Golkar secretary general Idrus Marham.
"The most popular are Ade Komarudin, Setya Novanto and Idrus Marham," said Golkar politician Tantowi Yahya to Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta, Monday (2/22/2016).
Tantowi said those three figures are widely reported by media. "The question is how they convert their popularity into electability," he explained.
Ade komarudin's campaign team claimed the candidate has gathered support from 30 percent of total regional branches including West Java, Central Java, Riau, West Sumatera, yogyakarta, South Kalimantan, West Nusa Tenggara and South Sumatera.
"We will also gather support from Kalimantan, Sumatera and Sulawesi," said Ade Komarudin's campaign team member Bambang Soesatyo at Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday (2/22).
Setya Novanto is also gathering support especially in East Java. Meanwhile, Idrus Marham has not yet launched his campaign.
