medcom.id, Jakarta: Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto has received several conservative Muslim leaders.
Muslim conservatives staged another rally today. They protested against incumbent Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.
They observed Friday Prayer at the Istiqlal Mosque. They then gathered in front of the Presidential Palace.
"Demonstation is not illegal," the former Hanura Party chairman said.
"Nevertheless, it must be peaceful," the retired general stated.
Police detained Islamic Ummah Forum (FUI) secretary general Muhammad Al-Khaththath early morning. Police also detained several other people.
