medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) secretary general Hasto Kristiyanto has revealed incumbent Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) is the most popular candidate in 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election based on PDIP's internal survey.
"We don't publish our internal survey," said Hasto, here, Thursday (8/18/2016).
"The party leadership has yet decide governor and vice governor candidate in 2017 Jakarta election," he continued.
Previously, Ahok claimed he has received endorsement from PDIP chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri. Ahok visited PDIP headquarters during Independence Day celebration on August 17.
"The visit was intended to understand each other," Hasto stated.
