medcom.id, Jakarta: Attorney General's Office (AGO) plans to summon Setya Novanto again next week after the former Speaker of the House of Representatives ignored its first summon yesterday.
Junior Attorney General for Special Crime Agus Arminsyah saidd Novanto didn't give any reason for his absence yesterday. The Golkar politician was summoned regarding allegation that he asked shares from PT Freeport Indonesia.
Armin confirmed AGO will summon Novanto again next week. "It could be Wednesday or Thursday," said Armin to Metrotvnews.com, Thursday (1/14/2016).
Armin refused to answer about AGO's plan if Novanto continues to ignore its summons. He said, according to the rule, AGO will try to summon the lawmaker three times.
Novanto resigned from his position as speaker after recorded conversation between him and PT Freeport Indonesia CEO was revealed.
